It’s The Thought That Counts…Right?

Happy Birthday Hannah!
Dearest Niece,
Just as our friend Blackie missed the mark a bit with your special cake (which I understand is filled with meatloaf and liverwurst), your dotty aunt missed getting to the post office in time to mail a special greeting to you. Ugh—I’m so sorry. Hope I can redeem myself the next time I see you, and hope to see you very soon. In the meantime, happy milestone birthday! As your grandma said to me when I was your age, “Have a twenty-one-derful day, celebration, and year ahead — And may each and every dream you have come true!”
Lots of love,
Aunt Jean, Charlotte, Blackie, Max, Flora, Daisy Mouse, Aaron, and Giselle

Jeanie, what a beautiful cake. Anchovies never looked so good. I got to look over both of your nieces’ shoulders while they enjoyed your post. Thanks for being so sweet to us all.

Aw, my pleasure, treasure. Just wish I could have been there to help celebrate the “woman of the hour” (and no, I don’t mean Miss Charlotte). Hope Hannah had a beautiful birthday. Glad it sounds like we’ll all get to connect soon!
