Last night, as Blackie was in the kitchen making a snack, a call came in from his Aunt Carol. She wanted to see if he could whip up a Charlotte Russe for her brother-in-law Richard, as he’s having a birthday today.
Absolutely!
If you haven’t had one, a Charlotte Russe is a lovely dessert made in a mold, with Bavarian cream and ladyfingers. Some people add whipped cream, and some add a few berries. (I say “yes” to both: Much more fun to draw!)
This time, Blackie added a few new touches—a mouse, some flower petals, candles….and a llama. (That’s Richard’s cat Ellie and dog Sophie high-fiving their approval.)
