\"Vote<\/a>\u2014Not that you necessarily\u00a0need<\/em> another reminder that it\u2019s Election Day, but then again, I figured it couldn\u2019t hurt.<\/p>\n

Also on an election theme, I wanted to share a fun \u201cawareness campaign\u201d created by my friend Gayle Kabaker<\/a>, with a little help from her friends. Gayle envisioned a series of pro-Obama images that would generate interest and enthusiasm\u2014and which could easily be shared on Facebook and beyond\u2014as the election drew near. She approached\u00a0Mitch Anthony<\/a>, a branding consultant, and\u00a0Laura Radwell<\/a>, a designer and marketing consultant, to brainstorm, create copy and layouts\u2014using a few of Gayle\u2019s own images to start off with, then inviting other artists to join in. I thought the end result\u2014a series of ten very striking digital posters, each with its own strong, positive message\u2014was pretty terrific!<\/p>\n

I also really love this one by Denver illustrator\u00a0Hadley Hooper<\/a>. (Great message, too.) It\u2019s not easy to combine strength and lyricism in an image…but it\u2019s one of the (many) things that Hadley excels at.<\/p>\n

Lastly, here\u2019s the image Gayle included of mine, showing positive gains in marriage equality under Obama (which, no matter who is in office, I sure hope will continue).<\/p>\n
