How does she get anything else done?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">OK, I\u2019ll admit, some days it\u2019s an issue. But most of the time, the whole doodle-and-blog thing is offset by the cats\u2019 willingness to help out with other stuff. For instance, here you see Blackie and Max, hard at work in my studio today, creating a new masterpiece for\u00a0<a title=\"Art in Action Flyer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lakesidelegacy.org\/simple_cms\/uploads\/files\/feb8d0d35ebfbf413fcf8bfca75d1e04.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Art in Action<\/a>, which is happening next week.\u00a0(Thanks a bunch, guys!)<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\">Case History<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Here\u2019s another prime example of my feline support team coming through\u2014this time on a recent\u00a0<a title=\"Link to Jean Tuttle's Illustration Website - Opens in New Window \" href=\"http:\/\/jeantuttlestudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">illustration<\/a> assignment for a Canadian client.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The two images below comprised my first round of sketches, variations on the same theme: Canada and Russia creating an alliance to keep U.S. shipping interests out of the Arctic region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-655 alignleft\" title=\"Jean Tuttle Concept Sketches\" src=\"http:\/\/www.catdoodles.com\/dailydoodle\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/tuttle_sketch1_global.jpg\" alt=\"Jean Tuttle Concept Sketches\" width=\"640\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catdoodles.com\/dailydoodle\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/tuttle_sketch1_global.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.catdoodles.com\/dailydoodle\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/tuttle_sketch1_global-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When I showed these concepts to the art director, he asked if I wouldn\u2019t mind stripping everything out but the beaver and bear, adding in an eagle, and developing them all as characters.<\/p>\n<p>Great idea, but not much time to hunt down reference. I was happy, the art director was pleased, and even Charlotte liked it.
