Happy Mermaid Day!

Pisces Mermaid
We’re about half-way through the sign of Pisces, which began in late February, and runs through most of March. So it seems only fitting to celebrate the mermaids among us, before it’s too late!

This includes a very special one—a dear friend, fellow artist, and kindred spirit—who’s having a birthday today. Here’s to you, Susan, and to everything wonderful coming your way—today, this year, and always!

Mermaid Mea CulpaAnd to all my Pisces friends—those with birthdays still ahead this month, as well as those whose birthdays I’ve already (sadly) missed—especially Jill, Rebecca, Diana & Bob: Best wishes for an excellent year ahead, filled with happiness, health, calm waters, and smooth sailing!

—And the same to the rest of you, no matter when your birthday falls. 🙂

P.S. A special thanks to Karen Watson, for the sea-themed collage elements used at left. —From her vintage clip art site, The Graphics Fairy.

Have a great Sunday night, everyone, and a terrific week ahead. See you all soon!

    Jean,
This was such a lovely surprise!
I am honored to have a spot on your blog and your friendship.
Clever how you worked in my latest obsession too (knitting). The claw foot tub with yarn balls are fun. If only I could wear those shoes too.
Thanks so much for making my day even more special.
    Sue

So happy you liked it, Sue. (I wish I could wear — not to mention afford — those shoes, too.)

Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating today!

    Hi, Jeanie–
What timing! I was just talking mermaids this very afternoon with the proprietress of The Green Turret, a very cool, weekends only recycled treasure store here in Madison. She’s a Pisces, so I’m sending her a link to your Cat Doodles and The Mermaid Club. Facebook doesn’t do her wonderful collection justice, but you’ll see for yourself next time you’re in town.
